Agreement
The undersigned student agrees to accept the following terms and conditions for the theory course.

Course fees
Course fees are payable prior to the commencement of the course.

Confidentiality
Depending on how the course is delivered, the student may be given an access code to the e-learning platform. This access is personal and must not be passed on or made available to third parties.

Course material
The course material, whether in book form, on videos or online, is supplied in the most up-to-date version. The flight achool accepts no liability for defects or errors in content. The flight achool is not liable for events that occur due to faulty course material, faulty interpretation of the same or faulty instruction.

Technical requirements
If an e-learning account is opened for the theory course, knowledge of computer operation, functioning Internet access and an e-mail address are required. The flight achool will ensure that uninterrupted access to the e-learning platform is guaranteed as far as humanly possible. The maintenance and operation of the e-learning platform is provided by third parties on behalf of the flight achool. The e-learning platform is Internet-based and functions on the customer's side on all common operating systems. The flight achool accepts no responsibility for the correct functioning of Internet access, learning aids offered via the e-learning platform or for the automatic evaluation of online tests. Furthermore, the flight achool is not responsible for incompatibilities of the student's hardware and software equipment with the e-learning platform. In particular, the proper functioning of the e-learning platform cannot be guaranteed with all versions of Internet browsers. The use of an up-to-date Internet browser is strongly recommended.

Course duration
Access is valid until completion of the theoretical examination, but for a maximum of 1 year. Thereafter, this training agreement expires and the student must re-enrol and pay the course fee again to complete the course. In any case, an extension of the course duration is only possible within the time limits set by the authority.

Attendance at courses
The student undertakes to attend the course completely and without gaps in accordance with the legal guidelines (Training Record). This applies both to the lessons in the classroom and to the Distance Learning Seminars. All lessons, self-study lessons and seminars arranged by the flight school form an integral part of the course.

Progress monitoring
Progress is monitored by means of tests via the e-learning platform or by tests in class. If the student does not achieve the minimum score required to pass the tests, they will be repeated after further study of the material. If there are any uncertainties or questions, instructors are available via e-mail, online forum or via chat to answer questions. In the event of problems, the student accepts the measures taken by the subject instructor to close the gaps in knowledge. He/she fulfils the tasks assigned to him/her completely and on time. If these measures do not lead to success, further steps can be agreed in consultation with the student and the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (CTKI). This may take the form of private tutoring with a specialist instructor, for example. The cost of such escalation will be borne by the student.

Classroom review lessons

If you have completed your distance learning course, remember to register for classroom instruction at CTKI. Ensure that you submit your registration at least two weeks in advance.

Theoretical examination
The flight school internal final exam will take place after the completion of the classroom review lessons. The student accepts that he/she will not be admitted to the Federal Office of Civil Aviation theoretical examination until he/she has passed the final examination in full. The final examination is passed if the candidate has answered at least 75% correctly. If the preliminary examination is taken outside the regular dates for scheduling reasons, the candidate will incur corresponding additional costs.

Disagreements
If the student does not agree or is dissatisfied with a decision or procedure of a Technical Instructor, he/she may contact the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (CTKI) of Flight School. The CTKI will decide on the further course of action after consultation with the instructor.

Course termination
If the student drops out of the course, he/she is not entitled to a refund of the course fees. The course must be cancelled in writing to the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor of the flight school (ctki@swisspsa.ch).
